Professor
Russell served as a Police Officer with the Tempe Police Department,
Counselor with the Arizona Department of Corrections, Director of Ivory
House halfway house, and as a Trainer and Planning Analyst with the Arizona
Department of Public Safety. Prior to heading the AJS program at SCC, Mr.
Russell was AJS Department Chair at Gila Pueblo College, and taught at South
Mountain Community College and Arizona State University, Tempe. Professor Russell received A.A.S. degrees in Criminal Justice, Logistics Management, and Aircraft Weapons Systems from the Community College of the Air Force, an A.A. degree in Middle Management from Mesa Community College, a B.S.C.J. and M.S. in Criminal Justice Education, Research and Theory from Arizona State University. |

Russell is a Small Claims and Civil Traffic Hearing Officer in local Justice
Courts, member of the Curriculum Advisory Committee of the Arizona Peace
Officers Standards and Training Board, and a Commissioner of the Maricopa
