Dr. Charles Baker is a retired
police lieutenant who served 20 years with the Louisville Police Department
in Kentucky. He held the ranks of police officer, sergeant, detective
sergeant, and lieutenant. He served in a variety of assignments including
patrol, the Crimes Against Children Unit, the Homicide Squad, Vice/Criminal
Intelligence, and the Community Development Unit that included police
training and crime prevention. Upon retirement from the police service, Dr. Baker became a high school history and social studies teacher in Louisville. Upon moving to Arizona, he served as Director of Security Services for the Mesa Unified School District. Dr. Baker received a Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration and a Master of Science degree in the Administration of Justice from the University of Louisville, and his |

| doctorate in Education from Arizona State University. He is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officers Course, the National Crime Prevention Institute, and the F.B.I. National Academy. | ||
