Women's Cross Country Coaches

Bo was hired here at SCC a few years ago. He now heads both the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country programs. Additionally, Bo coaches the Track and Field team. This year will be extra exciting for Bo since it’s his largest team yet!

Coach Reed attended Northern Arizona University. When he wasn’t studied, he was running! Bo ran on the Lumberjack Cross Country and Track and Field teams. This is where Bo learned a great deal about running, coaching, and life through one of his mentors, Coach Ron Mann. It is the same enthusiasm adopted from his former coach that Bo brings to Scottsdale Community College.

Coach Reed is a native Arizonian, born and raised here in the Valley. His attendance to NAU was an attempt to escape the blistering heat. But, like most do…he came back! And we are happy to have him here leading our running Artichokes.

Volunteer Assistant Coach:
Kelly Reed

Kelly joined the coaching staff at SCC in 2002. She controls the lifting program as well as assisting with training and the administering of work-outs.

Kelly also has experience as a personal trainer and marathoner. She won the inaugural Valley of the Sun Marathon with a 2:56:53. Kelly began her college career at Mesa Community College. There she trained under Coach Spencer Peterson. Kelly credits him for teaching her more about the sport of running than she ever thought possible. Kelly completed her college years at Grand Canyon University.

Coach Kelly is originally from Somerville, New Jersey. She moved out here and attended Chandler High School. Kelly has been here ever since. We feel lucky to have such a wonderful asset to our team...Volunteering nonetheless!
