Personal Training is an integral piece of the wellness puzzle that requires knowledge, competency and execution in evaluating, assessing and programming diverse populations. The future for Personal Training looks even brighter with the addition of healthcare industries looking for ways to facilitate their members. This certificate is designed to build a strong knowledge as well as practical experience in basic human anatomy , physiology and biomechanics as well as prevention and treatment of exercise related injuries, nutrition and weight management. Once you have completed the 31 credit course you will be eligible to sit for the ACSM Personal Training test. American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) is known as one of the premiere certifying bodies in the Exercise Science discipline. ACSM provides much of the research utilized in this field and sets the gold standard for other certifying organizations to follow.
