| IBS 101 | Introduction
to International Business A comprehensive overview of international business designed to provide a global perspective to both beginners and experienced business people. Studies include cultural awareness, international marketing, foreign exchange, international management and organizational structure, methods of expansion, and the operation of multinational corporations. | IBS 102 | International
Marketing Presents the problems of marketing in the international marketplace and how marketers approach and solve them. Studies include country selection process, development of product and packaging strategies, cultural aspects of marketing, development of advertising strategies and campaigns, the distribution of goods abroad, and implementation of marketing activities. Prerequisites: None. 2 credits. |

Awareness The importance of cultural sensitivity on business relationships is explored by studying the impact of geography, history, religion, politics, customs and cross-cultural communications on society. This course will focus on cultural differences in many regions of the world: Japan, China, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. Prerequisites: None. 2 credits. |

Finance The development of foreign exchange and international banking is examined. The course also covers methods of export financing, including both short-and medium-term credit and an in-depth review of application to and administration of government loan programs. Important factors in country risk analysis are discussed. Prerequisites: None. 1 credit. |

Law Introduction to the legal aspects and ramifications of international trade topics including multinational enterprises, sovereignty, technology transfer, arbitration, negotiation and diplomacy. Prerequisites: None. 2 credits. |

of Import Operations An overview of the steps involved in importing a product or service from beginning to end. Course includes an introduction to the United States Customs Service, what customs brokers do, duty rate structure and determination, basic laws affecting imports, currency exchange and letters of credit. Practical advice about storage and transportation of shipments after they have cleared customs. Prerequisites: None. 1 credit. |
