Arizona

It’s not just the landscapes, which take in tall mountain ranges, swift rivers, grasslands, sand dunes and cactus forests.  It’s not just the storied past, which reaches back thousands of years.  It’s not just the people, a vibrant blend of cultures and traditions.  It’s all theses things, and the way they come together, that make Arizona a truly unforgettable experience.

 - Arizona Journeys

International Education Programs would like to share with you the beauty, adventure, culture and history of the State of Arizona located in the heart of the Old West.

Let the Journey Begin……

Welcome to Arizona! The Valley of the Sun – made up of Arizona’s capital city of Phoenix and surrounding cities such as Scottsdale (where SCC is located), Tempe (where Arizona State University is located), Chandler, Mesa, Glendale and Paradise Valley – is a place for a high degree of enjoyable living.  With nearly four million residents and encompassing more than 2,000 square miles, it is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S.

A journey becomes an adventure when you……

……Do as The Locals Do, dining at our restaurants, enjoying our music scene, going to the  movies, and cheering our sports teams.

……Discover Arizona Adventures and Tourism in the Grand Canyon, in Monument Valley, around the Red Rocks of Sedona, and at Arizona Parks.

... Learn About History & Native American Cultures and know what it means to fall in love with the Great American Southwest.

When clouds swept the heavens, vast shadows were cast; but so vast was the canyon that these shadows seemed patches of gray and purple and amber. The dawn and the evening twilight were brooding mysteries over the dusk of the abyss; night shrouded; the immensity but did not hide it, and to none of the sons of men is it given to tell the wonder and splendor of sunrise and sunset in the Grand Canyon.

 - Theodore Roosevelt

Indian Country!  Monument Valley

In the house made of dawn, in the house made of the evening twilight, in the house made of the dark cloud, ....with beauty all around me, I walk.

- Navajo Night Chant

International Education Programs, Scottsdale Community College, looks forward to your visit and we are sure you will enjoy your stay in this place we Arizonans love so much!
